Project status

This site describes Pure Vault, a paid local macOS application. Source access is private. No signed, notarized public installer has been published. Unsigned packages are not a substitute for a notarized build. Descriptions on this site reflect the state recorded in the repository's own documentation and change as the software does.

Software license

Pure Vault is proprietary software. If you purchase an official package, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, lifetime license to install and use that package on devices you own or control. This license does not include source code. Third-party components carry their own licenses; the bundled Source Sans 3 typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, and a copy ships with this site's fonts.

Official packages

A one-time payment, when you choose to make one, covers official macOS builds of Pure Vault for as long as this project publishes them. Only macOS downloads are currently available. It is a lifetime license for those packages, not a cloud product and not a recurring plan. Buying a package does not add parsers, extra privacy, or a network service. The application still never phones home. There is no in-app account and no in-app unlock.

When online sales are available, the lifetime package costs $29.99 USD, with any applicable tax shown in Stripe Checkout. Enter your email at checkout. After payment is confirmed, we record the purchase and email a private link for official macOS packages. Keep the link private; it grants access to anyone who has it. A fully refunded or disputed purchase loses future download access. Partial refunds retain access. For help, email contact@purevault.app. Do not send card numbers by email.

There is no subscription to cancel. If a paid package was undeliverable (a broken download or a payment taken without a build), email the same address and ask for a refund of that payment.

As-is software

The software, official packages, and this site are provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. In no event shall the publisher be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the software or its use.

Practically: Pure Vault reads irreplaceable personal data, so treat it accordingly. Keep your original exports. Verify an import's parse health and evidence tier before relying on it, and do not treat any current adapter as Verified, because none is.

Updates and removal

Pure Vault never checks a network for updates. Replace the application with a newer package yourself. To remove it, quit, delete the application, then delete the PureVault folder in your OS user config directory if you also want preferences, the remembered-backup list, and lock files gone. Clearing a workspace never deletes your original exports. See the uninstall section.

Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the site or attempt unauthorized access to it. Only open backups you are entitled to read; inspecting someone else's export requires their permission. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you and to the data you hold.

Name and marks

"Pure Vault" is a provisional working name and has not been trademark-cleared. Product names mentioned on this site (Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Apple, Google, Evernote, Signal, and others) belong to their owners and appear only to describe file formats this software can read or inspired-by conversation views. No affiliation or endorsement is implied. Inspired-by conversation views are not clones of those applications.

Changes

The project and these terms may change as the software matures. A revised effective date will be posted here when the terms materially change.
